How do I get from Girona Train Station to L'Estartit?

Hello,

We are planning a trip to Spain in April and want to include some diving and snorkelling.

Can you advise the best way of travelling from Girona train station to L'Estartit? We are hoping there is a bus service.

Hope you have a great holiday. April is a nice time of year to visit the Costa Brava.

You can get a direct bus from Girona to L’Estartit. The direct bus to L’Estartit goes from Girona Bus Station (Platform 23). The bus station is next door to the train station.

For timetable details take a look at AMPSA Buses The first bus goes at 9.15am and then every 2 hours until 1.15pm, after that they go hourly. The last bus goes at 9.15pm.
 
The cost of the bus ticket to L’Estartit from Girona is €5.50-6.55 per person depending on whether you are travelling during the week or at the weekend or in a holiday period. Children under 4 can travel for free if they sit on your lap. You can buy the ticket on the bus.

The bus takes 1 hour to reach L’Estartit.

I travelled to L'Estrait 2 years ago from Girona airport and got taxi quite expensive so delighted to hear how easy it is to bus it (depending on arrival /departure time) and to have links with bus times is brilliant.Thanks.

It provided all the information I need in one place.

Train:
The nearest train station to Tossa de Mar is Blanes (18km away). You can catch a train from Girona Railway Station to Blanes, which takes about 40 minutes, if you catch a direct train. Trains run roughly every 30-60 minutes from 6.38am to 8.38pm. The direct trains run every 2 hours. For an up to date timetable click here and scroll down to the last link at the bottom of the page (RG1: Portbou / Figueres - Blanes / Mataró).

From Blanes you can catch a bus to Tossa which will take about 35 minutes. The buses run every 15 minutes. For more info look at Pujol Buses. A taxi will cost about 40€ from Blanes to Tossa.

Bus:
Or you can catch a direct bus from Girona Airport to Tossa de Mar which takes about 55 minutes. Please note that there is no bus in the winter months 31 October - 25 March. There are only 2 buses per day from 11 September to 30 October at 10am and 2.30pm. The time table for summer 2017 is not yet available. Visit Sagales for times.

Jean is right. There is no direct bus from Girona Airport to L’Estartit. There are no trains either.

There is a link bus (Sagales bus - line 607) from Girona Airport to Girona bus station, which takes about 30 minutes. They leave the airport at every half past the hour and they return every hour on the hour.

From Girona city centre (the bus station) you have to take the AMPSA Buses to L’Estartit.

However, there are no buses that will get you to from L’Estartit to Girona city at that time in the morning. The first bus from L’Estartit is at 6.50am which gets to Girona city at 7.45am. So, it looks like you will have to get a taxi/shuttle back from L’Estartit, but perhaps you will be able to get there by bus depending on when your flight arrives.

Hola!
Can anyone advise how to get from Girona Airport to L´Estartit? Is there any bus from the Airport?

The private taxis are quite expensive, so if anyone can help me I'd appreciate it :)

The main problem is that on our way back home from L´Estartit to Girona Airport we have to find something what goes really very early. The flight time is 6:45.

Have you tried Platja de la Pletera? We always find that part of L'Estartit beach to be pretty quite.

Just back from a fab holiday at Castell Montgri Camp Site. Travelled to L'Estartit from Girona airport on buses, so easy. Hired bikes and explored the local area on the super safe bike routes - highly recommend it. You really don't need a car. Will be going back again next year!
