Can I get a train at midnight from Girona airport ?

Hi

I arrive on Saturday 28th June on the 23.15 flight to Girona.

The taxi for 1 person is too expensive and I know buses don’t run that late. Do you know if I can get a train from Girona airport to L’Estartit to link up with my family who arrive earlier that week?

Thank you in advance if you can let me know of any reasonable transport or I would be happy to share a lift.

There is no train station at L’Estartit. The nearest train station is at Flaca 22km away. But, there are no trains at that time of night - the next train is about 13.00 on the Sunday.

Possible options:

You can either stay at the airport until the morning (not a fun idea) and catch the first bus from Girona bus station at 6.45 on the Sunday (you would have to catch the link bus from the airport to the bus station at about 6.00).

Catch a taxi which will cost about €70.

Or perhaps, if you and your family wanted to see more of the Costa Brava, you could share the cost of hiring a car with them and use it to ferry you from the airport as well as seeing the area.
