Beginner Course Diving Costa Brava

by Amar Jain
(India)

Hi

I am travelling to Spain in July and have 4 days which I can spare for Costa Brava specifically from 29th July to 1st august, post which I will be returning to my home country.

Is it advisable to do the 3 to 5 day learner course in diving? I am willing to do the theory before hand.

Can the course be done in 3 days? Is there any specific diving school or certified instructor that I can contact?

What will be the exact cost for the 3 day course? and will I get a certificate for the same?

Kindly let me know.

Regards

Amar

Open Water Course Costa Brava
by: Real-Costa-Brava

Hi Amar

If you are new to scuba diving and want a certification you will need to do an open water course. Several diving centres offer this along the Costa Brava.

I am not sure which part of the Costa Brava you are intending to spend your 4 days, so the best thing is for you to take a look at our our Diving Centres Directories which list each dive centre for each town on the Costa Brava, and go to the directory for the town you are intending to stay in.

Open water dive courses vary in length from 3-5 days and you will need to contact the dive centres in the town you are planning to stay in to see whether you can do the course in 3 days. It really depends on how many people they have doing the course and instructors they have available. If you are willing to do the theory before you come you may well be able to do the practical course in 3 days. The course will cost around €400 at any of the dive centres.

I hope you enjoy your diving experience. It is great fun!
